Kurt Hartenbach was born 1959 in Freiburg i.Br. 1979 he began study of engineering sciences at University of Karlsruhe (now: KIT) and worked parallel as student for IBM Corp. at CAD/CAM Center Karlsruhe, 1986 as CAD consultant and developer for CAD interfaces at Eigner&Partner GmbH, Karlsruhe, later he was responsible for development of early PLM system “CADIM/EDB”.
1995 he joined SICK AG, Waldkirch, as head of technical IT team and successively built a corporate wide used multi-CAD PLM system on base of “HP WorkManager” (later: PTC).
2001 he became head of corporate unit “Standards & Processes” with more teams. 2015 he started the PLM migration project to Aras Innovator. 2017 he became vice president of corporate department “Research& Development”.
