Bill has 25+ years in the MCAD/PLM space. With a BSME from U-Main and an MSME from NJIT, he was attracted to the Mechanical Design space early in his career. Specifically, learning and utilizing best in class MCAD tools was of great interest. After working for his first employer for several years, a Value Added Reseller (VAR) reached out to see if engaging with other companies and technologies was of interest. The jump from an MCAD/PLM customer to a reseller had an immediate appeal, most notably diversity in both use case requirements and customer interactions. During his career Bill has enjoyed working with many companies and people across the US and abroad. Through various (and sometimes unpredictable) twists and turns, an incarnation of the original VAR he worked for would eventually lead to the development of a direct CAD Connector for Aras Innovator. Bill has enjoyed participating in many aspects of the development, testing and deployment of what is now the Essig PLM CAD Connector from the very first demo (Circa 2011). He has extensive knowledge of design engineering and product lifecycle management and how enterprise software can solve critical business challenges that bring value to the organization.
