Description

Students in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University, configured Aras Innovator as a learning management system to administer courses in CAD/PDM/Simulation. It is now used by several professors and various courses across the curriculum that impacts over 750 students per semester.  By infusing PDM as part of the classroom process, Purdue is preparing students to enter the workforce with a fundamental understanding of the relationship between CAD and PDM. A group of students configured Aras Innovator to assist Purdue’s SAE competition race teams. They faced the same requirements, workflow and adoption challenges as industry. They are now working with partner CADENAS PARTsolutions to reduce part count and improve process quality.
