He has participated in executive and non-executive roles as entrepreneur, director and mentor and works with numerous companies both large and small in end-user, channel (e.g. SI/VAR/Distributor), vendor (e.g. OEM/ISV/MSP) and intermediary (e.g. VC/Government/ Media) communities.

A frequent contributor to industry publications, Allan represents both user and vendor communities through his association with numerous international industry forums and conferences. A past Chairman of the Engineering Solutions Forum and Vice Chairman of the Computer Suppliers Federation, his work with UK and European institutions are focused on enabling wider and more profitable exploitation of technology within European manufacturing industry.
