David McDonnell, a PLM Solutions Consultant on the North American Automotive team completed a BS Electrical Engineering degree from Lawrence Technological University in Michigan in 1989. David’s began his career working on electrical wiring designs at Cadillac Motors in Detroit. After finding more interest and challenge in the support side of the engineering CAD environment, David became a systems administrator at Troy Design, and later, a systems engineer for Tata. In 2001, David started an independent consulting service, providing engineering systems support for multiple companies in the automotive & aerospace supplier space, specializing in CAD and OEM PLM integrations. During this time, David gained experience with a variety of supplier infrastructure technologies and process methodologies. David's most recent role was providing level 3 support as an SAP PLM Technical Specialist at the Martinrea engineering technical center, located in Auburn Hills Michigan. Here he was involved with process blueprinting, workflow design, software configuration, OEM data mapping, testing and documentation development, deployment, and training. David currently lives in Clarkston Michigan, has two sons, and enjoys golf, skiing, movies watching and spending time with friends.
