Implementing Digital CM using the Master Enterprise Technical Integration Suite (METIS)

With the release of the DoDI 5000.88 the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific embarked on a two-year implementation plan that includes:

  • Continuous end-to-end digital representation of the system
  • Establishment of a digital authoritative source of truth with configuration controlled digital technical baselines
  • Maintain all the functions of CM throughout the life of the program
  • Access to OSD, Stakeholders, and interdependent programs

The result is METIS or Master Integrated Technical Integration Suite supporting the direction of the DoD. METIS is powered by Aras Innovator 12. The goal is to connect the NAVWAR digital ecosystem with a powerful digital engineering approach. Users with the appropriate access will see all a program’s information from models, to architecture, to logistics all wrapped in the “warm blanket of CM”. With METIS CM processes and procedures built in, programs will not need to treat CM as an afterthought or stop and think, "what do I need to do for CM?“.

Join this session to understand how MEtIS:

  • makes requirements available and traceable throughout the system design
  • the integration of MBSE system with METIS
  • the collaboration and sharing of data by individual teams
  • an open approach to simulation processes
  • teams confirmation that they are testing the correct version or variant
